I bought these last year for half the price of the HDC-411, but set them aside as soon as I saw that these were NOT Emerson/Essicks HDC-411. Caught with a need to suddenly switch my Emerson humidifier's filters, I've now used them and they STINK!PROS:
None at all, as in "Golly, these are worthless junk, but at least I save a couple bucks!"
CONS:
Weak won't stand up or support the funnel shroud.
Flimsy not enough material to draw up and hold lots of water the way the Emerson filters work.
Cheaply made instead of layers of fan-fold impressed filter media, this is a cheap stamping of just
a few layers of thin filter paper laminated on each side of thin aluminum core sheets.
Short-lived: I'm used to getting 75-90 days use out of Emerson/Essick HDC-411 filters, but these fail in
JUST TWO WEEKS!! The problem is LACK OF MATERIAL.
Save your money and shell out for the real thing (look closely at the photos and watch out for trick words like "Aftermarket", which often means that the product has NOTHING to do with the product you want!

Replaced old ones and fit perfectly. Happy to have the humidifier running again. House is so dry when not running
