I chose this humidifier because I was tired of replacing filters on my old Hamilton Beach model. This has a good volume of mist, is filter free and easy to clean, and pretty quiet. I did not give it a five star rating because of the following issues:

-The rotating head squeaks so if I'm using it at night, I turn off that feature because the noise bothers me.

-The handle is kind of awkward so you have to be careful not to drop it when filling and replacing the water tank.

-The round water tank cover opens and closes with a small 1/4 turn, and is held in place by tiny plastic tabs. It doesn't seem very secure. I'm afraid that these might break off eventually, but time will tell.

Overall it seems to be a good purchase but for the above-stated issues.

We've tried several humidifiers over the dry winter seasons and all seem to just shoot water up into the air only to soak the area beneath it. This one has such small droplets and enough force that the surrounding furniture/sheets/carpet are dry in the morning. And the kids breathe easier because if it. Highly recommended!

Works great. Is quiet, but there is an intermittent water gurgling sound. If you are a light sleeper it may take some getting used to.

Worked as advertised. I have been using in in our work shop on a daily basis (humidity needed for what we do). It has been on 8 hours a day for months with no issues. We use tap water too. Great product!
