Xikar Crystal Humidifier 50

My humidor is down to 67% and dropping. It may be the Xikar solution. The Xikar combo of solution and humidifier does not work.

User error. I expected the RH to remain in the 70-75% range where my Savoy humidifier kept it. After discussions with Xikar support I learned that the Xikar 50 will keep RH above 62% and under 70%, the preferred range. After 3 weeks of use the RH has remained in the 63-68% range.

I bought this to replace the unit that came with my humidor and it works better than I expected. I should have bought this sooner. You have to use the Xikar solution, NOT the 50/50 stuff from other brands. The 50/50 will not work and plug it up.

I have not been able to use this product at all in my humidor and I am contemplating on returning it. The size description on the vendors page is totally innacurate. If it was as they stated, it would fit perfectly in my humidor and would have been an exact replacement for the Green Oasis Puck i currently have. BUT IT IS NOT! I purchased this because of the size that was mentioned. And because in the past I purchased the Xikar Hygrometer and that item was exactly the same size as mentioned on the vendors page and was a direct fit for the factory hole in my humidor. So if you are looking for an exact fit in your humidor do not go with the size they mention here. Do your research somewhere else before buying.
