If you are still using the pleated aprilaire put togeather filter you need to try the Honeywell popup 2400 media filter. Very fast install. I've used these for two years. They have a merv 11 rating. they do an excellent job of cleaning the air. Highely recommend these.
I've used these filters for several years and they perform as well as the Aprilaire filters. They are much easier to change and disposal is simply folding the used ones up and putting it the empty box. The only drawback is the MERV 11 rating causes the filters to block quicker reducing the airflow and causing your AC system to work harder. I check them at 3 months and then decide if they need to be replaced earlier or wait another 3 months. I would like a blockage/dp indicator on the front to know when the filters are blocked.
