I was really happy with my humidifier until it stopped running. Had it for about a year. Just when the warranty expired it quit.
I've had this humidifier for 4 years at least and use it constantly (every night, all night, sometimes during the day) from October-April. I clean it at the beginning of the season and at the end with warm water & a little white vinegar. I use tap water and haven't had any issues. Good output, although now that we have a much bigger master bedroom and forced hot air heat, I find I need something more. The tank lasts 12 hours on high, but I still feel dry. I suspect this has much more to do with the room and heat than the humidifier since it did an amazing job on low in our old bedroom which was smaller with hot-water baseboard heat.
I'm considering getting another and running both all night or trying to find something with a greater output hard to gauge online, though.
