It was reading much lower than it actually was. I had another gauge that was accurate to compare to and it was off by about 20.

I had to calibrate it, but it works nicely. i use it to keep my guitars in the proper humidity limits.

Right now it is flooded with water and it still only reads 75%. I bet i could submerge it in water and it still wouldn't go above 80 %.

This thing is junk!!! Tryed several times to set/balance gauge (at least it gives you that ability) but it doesn't last... Spend the extra and get a good one if you don't want to loose your cigars.
