I like to use this type of product to add a pleasant scent in our home and yes, it does work. Different scents are available in this brand and I like the apple cinnamon aroma best. It seems to be the most robust scent additive out of the others available. It is simple to use but is best to add the liquid to the humidifiers water after filling the container otherwise foam is created taking up water space.

I only use this product on occasion because if you think about it, it is not a cheap way to fill your home/room with a pleasing smell. The concept is great but not affordable for me with constant use. You can add more liquid per gallon of water to increase the strength of aroma which is what I need to do for my satisfaction. For this reason, cost per gallon of water, I am rating this product with 4 stars ****.

Other similar products are available such as a tablet-type scent. Just drop the tablet(s) in the water according to the intensity of aroma you enjoy. However, this form of additive is not an economical option either. I have only found this type in a local store so far.

If you're like me wanting value for the money, it is not the most cost effective way to do so. But on occasion, I do find it worth the price.

My sense of smell is not what it used to be so take this with a grain of salt.

I have not been able to detect any fragrance from this product at all, even when using three times the recommended amount. Even when standing right in front of the air flow from the humidifier. Even after leaving home for 4 to 5 hours and returning. No fragrance.

This product foams a great deal. Very much like soap. In the bottle, it even smells like soap or detergent. The foaming causes my humidifier to make annoying snapping sounds, like the foam bubbles popping. Except they are louder and sharper. More like slight electrical arching. Small sparks. (It could be that the foam is getting into the fan blade, getting whacked, and making a sharp sound.) It makes me wonder if the foam is getting into the electrical components at the top of the unit. If so, this can only cause eventual failure of the humidifier due to mineral buildup on the electrical components.

This product also causes the impeller/fan to run very loud for some reason. I have to run 2 or 3 tankfuls of water in the humidifier without this product added before the impeller/fan sounds normal again.

I have a Homedics breathe machine, you can no longer get the smell liquid to add to the water. I got this but the scent is not strong enough. You can barely smell it for only a short timeand I added more than required.

but did very little to make anything else smell better. It has a bit of soap in it too. Well, maybe not soap, but it will make lots of bubbles if you put it in an evaporative cooler as I did. Wouldn't order it again, put it that way.
