besides that it's basic and hasn't given me other problems. i like how user friendly and uncomplicated it is. the thermometer is very portable and not heavy.
mostly i'm concerned about the readings being correct and they appear to be.The hygro thermometer I received badly malfunctioned from moment I first turned it on. Or, rather, _attempted_ to turn it on. Pressing the power button results in every cell of the LCD activating for a split second, followed by the screen going blank. Most of the time this is all the device is capable of.
On the rare occasion that the device actually attempts to display the temperature and humidity, its temperature readings are highly inaccurate (fluctuating by five degrees or more over a period of seconds). Pressing the F/C button to change the type of unit displayed causes the device to instantly turn off.
The device comes with a reset button on the back that's supposed to help in the event that it behaves erratically. As far as I can tell, this reset button does nothing.
I do not recommend purchasing this device.so it reads temp and humidity at the same time and is basically controlled with a push of a button, this really couldn't be any easier to operate and cost minimal, all around better than a probe tester and totally as accurate.
