Humidiheat Heater/Humidifier

We bought this for our nursery b/c it is difficult to regulate the temp in our son's room. We kept it on low heat/humidify, but one problem is w/o an auto-shutoff, it would get so warm in the room that we would have to turn the unit on and off throughout the night to keep the temp decent. We only used it for 2-3 weeks before we returned it and bought an auto-shutoff unit and separate humidifier. Within that timeframe, our electric bill went from $50 a month to $116!!!

Another issue is the heat and humidity kind of work against each other: the heating unit is on the bottom and the humidifier is on the top, so when the cool mist comes out, the heat that's rising seems to evaporate the mist b/c it never actually feels 'humid' in the room (and it's a smaller room).

For the price, I definitely would not recommend this product it would be better on your wallet to simply get an auto-shutoff unit and separate humidifier...

I bought this product a year and half ago. The product worked good until I needed to get a new wick and lower roller due to roller breakeage. And then the problem started. Called Envion customer service and ordered the two items. When received, the wick was almost an inch wider then the old one, to the point that it rubbed the sides of the unit. The rollers arived as two upper rolers and not one upper and one lower. Called back talked to a supervisor who promissed to send the corrected items. Today the new wick arrived. It is the same larger size as before The rollers still has not arrived. This is going on two months and I still can't usr the unit.

Envion customer service is very poor.

Love this Humidiheat. It works great in my room only the censor for water filter is not working properly other than it's perfect heather without causing stuffiness or sore throat and also bring a fresh air and less dust.

I purchased with the humidifier in mind. Winters in the mid west are cold, sinus' suffer with the furnace running. My bedroom is the farthest room for the heat then add 2 windows that come to the floor. In turn its cooler than I prefer.

I am satisfied with the unit. Only change would be large tank for more water. I think I used each setting to test, have found no problems.

Definitely buy it.

The heater works, but the humid part is a joke, the only thing the humidifier portion is good for is semi-cleaning the air.

My spindle for the water broke, if you send Envion an e-mail they will never reply. If you call the number they will ask for your number, then tell you to call back in an hour because they are having technical difficulties. If you call back they will do the same thing, if you ask them to call you back when they can be useful they tell you they have no provision in place to call you back, yet they take your number when you call them.... absolutely useless.
