Nice simple humidor. I have one for myself that I have had for a few years that I like and bought this one for a friend. Not perfect, the analog humidistat needs occasional calibration (get a calibration pack) and the included humidifier should just get thrown out.

As per the instructions, the effect is best with room temp water. With that said, the effect is quite nice, and the music is soothing. The aromatheray strength is dependent on the oil used and the amount, however, can be effective. The reason for four stars is no remote. You plug a small hole with a device provided to turn off the musice. THe power and music holes are recessed and somewhat hard to reach. THe inside white water container has a max fill line which is worthless. This is due to it being white also and virtually invisible. It would have made sense to make the max line more visible. I have read reviews complaining it is a high maintenecnce devise. This is not any harder to take care of than washing a cereal bowl. I would recommend this, it just has a couple quirks as noted.
This product is adequate, but the one shipped to me was made by a different manufacturer, and was different and flimsier than the original equipment. It fits, and does the job, but it shouldn't be labeled as original equipment.

I have used these for years. I live in the northeast where most people have forced hot air heat. Without humidification you will always feel like overdone toast. This is an easy way to get factory replacement wicks without tramping all over town trying to find them. Brand x is a bad idea. Filters came in nothing but the outer mailer bag. They honestly look like a larger filter that were cut down to size rather than an actual true replacement. Doesn't have the benefit of color change portion of filter to let you know when it needs changed-like the original filter that came with humidifier had. Once placed in humidifier water did not wick up filter thus not allowing it to work properly.

The benefit is that it doesn't cost much. The downside is that it gets mildewy faster than normal because it isn't treated with awesome disinfectant like the more expensive ones. I believe these filters work the best. They dont get clogged as most of the other ones I have try dovery quickly.
Not really a humidifer at all. Yes it's a diffuser but it does not humidify the air, which is it's first claim to fame and the reason I bought it. Water sits in a well with a sponge and a fan blows the water that soaks up into the sponge. Had I known this and that it was shipping directly from China, I would have ordered from another on-line place, where it was much cheaper. Don't buy if you want a humidifer.

Bought this item a month or so ago, and I like it well enough. It is a simple design that uses a replaceable "wicking" element Optimus U-30011 Humidifier Replacement Wick Filter for U-33015, 2-Pack underneath the fan to provide a large surface area to evaporate the water. Be aware that you will have to replace the wick every so often. Our water is quite hard, so we buy distilled water to use in the humidifier to extend the life of the wick, otherwise mineral deposits can build up on the wick rather quickly and it is not recommended to try and clean and re-use the wicks. The unit is not silent, but is actually very pleasantly quiet, and be aware that it "burbles" as it releases water from the tank into the unit every so often...I do not find it disturbing and can sleep with it near the bed. On "hi" fan speed it will go through a gallon of water (one tank full) in about 24 hours in our room...this of course will depend on your relative humidity (we live in Arizona, near Phoenix...so quite dry here...) One dislike about the unit is that you fill the tank from the bottom and the handle on top is not flat...thus to fill the tank you cannot set it on a flat surface and have it stay upright. I have kneel on the floor and balance the tank between my knees to pour water into the tank.
