Honeywell HC-835 Replacement Filter for Robitussin and Vicks Cool Moisture Humidifiers

I got the filter for the humidifier I also just bought. Upon placing the filter in and turning the unit on, a strong odor filled the room. I had to open the windows to air the room out because I didn't think inhaling the smell was a good idea. Being that it was for my bird's room, I feel sure that it would result in him getting sick or worse. I believe the problem lies in the Protec antimicrobial treatment. I would never have bought it had I known about this.

We have bad water that can turn these filters into nasty colors quickly, but it seems to me that means its doing its job. We have gone through over 20 of these in our baby's room over the last couple years and have not experienced any of the odor issues mentioned in the prior review.

I wished there was a description of what the product was made from, for example this product is plastic. What came with the orginal humidifer was made out of paper.

A04-1725-051 White Rogers Humidifier Replacement Evaporator Pad

I ordered the White Rogers Humidifier Replacement Evaporator Pad, two in fact. I was a bit disappointed to find out when they arrived that they were Skuttle Pads. I would have been happier receiving what I actually ordered. It fit, which is the only reason I gave it three stars. All in all, it works, so I can't complain, but it's frustrating to order one product to get another. I have no idea if this is the same quality or not, but I was trying to get the right pad for my humidifier, which is a White Rogers. From what I can tell, even though I paid the White Rogers price, the Skuttle was cheaper. :(

This is our second Countertop H20 Filter. The last one worked for well over the 5 years promised. It removes that odd taste from chlorine. We change the filter cartridge about every 6 months and that is all the maintenance that is needed.

Aprilaire #4331 Distribution Tray

this product was listed as an aprilaire replacement part. when I recieved it the water distribution tray had a rubber or fiber gluded in strip with the bumps on it for water distribution.

the original had the bumps as part of the plastic strip. I emailed seller and they replied very timely stating it was aprilaire part but had no information on the strip.

When I had my furnace cleaned I asked my serviceman about this. He said he noticed this on recent units he installed. He believes they are like this because some people when cleaning the strip rub off the bumps thinking they were part of the dirt build up. This is what I had done hence ordering a new strip. The fiber strip is much more visible. I hope it will last so water can be distributed better.

This filter was advertised as the one to replace my current unit. It did not fit because it was configured to fit another model. One cannot put a square peg in a round hole, so to speak. I returned it and will look to other sources when I need a replacement.

Honeywell H14016 Replacement Filter for Eureka DCF-16

just like the OE one, but less moldy XD once you wash that thing enough it tends to start discoloring. quite difficult to find these anymore, i thought i would have had to buy a new vacuum.

i do like the whole foam thing you can just squeeze out in the sink and put back. keeps a lot of the crud from your carpets out of the air judging by how much collects on that thing after a few vacuum cycles.

at least this will give my old yellow monster a few more years of life before the motor dies and makes it not worth fixing. i mean i only payed like $80 for the whole thing back in 08 :P

This was a great purchase, I purchased 1 of these. I already had used 2 others before from local U.S. Stores that through normal wear and tear went bad, but while living in Africa I could not get a replacement at all. The package arrived on-time and with overseas estimates of when the USG sends our mail to us it only took about 2.5 weeks to get to Africa. No damage was noted on the carton or the clam shell holding the filter. Would defiantly recommend and once again shipping was 5-6 days and then about 1.5 weeks to me in north/west Africa.
