These packs and simple to use and maintain the humidity levels within a few percent. I've used these packs for a little over a year and I love them. They are easy to use and typically lasts a month or so for me. I use the with gel jar because I dont find the gel jar alone to maintain humidity levels all that consistent. These pack seems to do the job though.
If you have a sharper image humidifier, and you see white dust all over your room, then you need this. Mine came with one of these and it really does work. It basically floats around in the water tank and absorbs minerals. It lasts about four months which, where I live, is about one season. It is a bit overpriced. Its not much bigger than your thumb and yet it's $20. But it's worth it if it works.

Must have for my humidifier. Without the white dust is unbelievable. I use the sameone until the white dust starts, then I replace.
