bought this from a local store. it blows a nice mist that I like but the box said it runs 10 hours. pamplet inside says not to leave house for 6 hours with it running. we slept six to seven hours and it was completely dry.

Just what I wanted...a personal humidifier on my BR nightstand. I used Brita-filtered water. No fuss in cleaning and noiseless.

I had to return it to Homedics as the gasket broke within a week.

I am still waiting for them to send me a replacement.

I like the fact that it is quiet, but wish it were just a bit larger.without going to the really big one.

It's very small and uses a wick. The first one I bought stopped working after a couple of days for no apparent reason. Had to return. The replacement continues to work, but works best when completely filled to keep the wick wet. If it isn't used every day and is allowed to empty, the wick has to be taken out and soaked again to get it going. There's no control for how much mist you get, only on/off. It is big enough to run for about twelve hours.
