Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier HMC-350B (black) Ultra Violet Germ-Free

Unlike many of the other UV humidifiers, this one does not create a glow that disturbs sleep. Its low fan speed is pretty quiet. It is very suitable for use in a bedroom. The water tank is a little small and I fill it daily running it 24/7. We have only had the unit for a month so I can not speak to its longevity, yet.

My one gripe is that, due to the small tank, you can run out of water and it does not shut off. A low level shutoff switch would take care of this but there is not one. When the unit runs out of water, the filter dries out and turns brown. The filter is supposed to last for a year (or a season of use) but the drying out limits its effectiveness.

I am very happy with my purchase. I bought this to replace my ultrasonic humidifier Crane Penguin EE-865 that was setting of my fire alarms (otherwise it worked well). The Honeywell is VERY quiet on the lowest setting. The water tank is smaller than on other humidifiers I owned, but it is light to carry when full and easy to refill. It is also easy to clean. The humidifier is recommended by Consumer Reports and according to them it has an excellent output and is very efficient. My only complaint is that it does not have an automatic shut-off with a humidistat. I would be willing to pay a bit more to have this feature. The humidifier has a small UV lamp (inside the housing not visible in normal operation) that is supposed to kill germs in the water which is also a bonus. Black version of this humidifier is harder to find online and a bit more expensive but it is very stylish looking.

Great little humidifier! Three output levels. I love the sleek unobtrusive design and this is the easiest to fill humidifier I have ever used. No leaking and very quiet. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a portable humidifier for average rooms.

Honeywell Tower Air Purifier Combo Pack

I bought these two days ago. The smaller unit was for my bedroom and the larger one for my daughter's. She is a baby and has started rubbing her nose and eyes and is stuffy. So I bought these units in hopes of cleaning the air. In just two days I have noticed she is breathing easier.

A special note, the larger unit was loud. It had a high pitch kind of rattling sound. My husband pulled the filter out, messed with some wire or other and now it is whisper quiet, like the smaller one.

Good buy overall. A little pricey on Amazon but my daughter is sleeping easier which was the whole point.

I use one of these in a room on the first floor and one in my bedroom. They are pretty quiet but not silent. The higher you set it the louder it is. They really seem to help with dust and such in the air.

Cigar Mechanic Large Rectangle Humidifier

When this is filled with water it is too heavy and will not stay on the top of the inside of the humidor with the magnetic plate provided. Avoid this product.

A chart on the Cigar Mechanic website indicated to buy the large size for 50 or more cigars. I have a 100 cigar humidor so I did just that. Big mistake! The unit was too big and over humidified the cigars! When I asked to make an exchange for the smaller size since this was through no fault of my own, I was refused!! Make sure you buy the right size and hopefully it will work for you.

Do not buy this! They must have changed their product after the first review because mine shipped with velcro instead of a magnet to secure it to the lid of the humidor. I wish they hadn't changed it because I would have preferred it to just fall off the lid than what happened to me. I should have known when I had to click them closed in a couple of spots when I received them.

Filled them up the first time, stuck the velcro on and forgot about it for a week or two when I went to check on my cigars and add some water, instead of the velcro letting the humidifier go, the case opened up and hundreds (thousands?) of beads flowed through the first to shelves in my humidor all the way to the bottom. I have a locker style humidor that holds a few hundred cigars, so I spent about 2 hours delicately removing the beads one by one. Now I have to spend a day in the near future to empty my humidor, remove every last bead, and re-stock. Not to mention having to fight my dog from eating them and turning into jerky.
