Art Deco - 60 Cigars Humidor

I recently stopped smoking cigarettes and switched to smoking cigars on occasion. So I ordered this humidor to house my modest collection of stogies. It came in perfect condition and I was pleasantly surprised by its excellent build quality, which is definitely worth the asking price in my opinion.

I went through the trouble of calibrating the included hygrometer only to discover that it was unnecessary since it came perfectly calibrated out of the box. Another pleasant surprise!

It's also one of the very few humidors that are under-reporting their capacities. For a 60-cigar humidor I have it housing 15 short Churchill-sized cigars, 60 coronas, and about a dozen or so petit coronas. So far it's maintaining a relative humidity between 66 and 72, which is slightly less than ideal. But I think it would be easy to stabilize it using some humidifier gel or a better humidifier unit.

I have to take one star off because it came with no instructions whatsoever. It's nothing that a little googling won't solve. But still, even a single sheet of usage instructions would have been helpful.

But I'm still liking so much that I'm considering getting its younger bother, The Art Deco 30 Cigars Humidor.

I gave this Art Deco Humidor to my husband as a Christmas gift and he love's it! It not only has a good amount of storage for his cigars but it's a piece of art that he's proud of. This is he second humidor, this one being the largest capacity and he's already gotten it prepped and regulated.

BestAir CB43 Essick 1043 Replacement Wick Filter

I did not give this product a 5 star rating because I did not have the OEM filter to make a quality comparison. From what I can remember of the original wick, the BestAir replacement is of similar construction. This replacement filter is of good quality and functions, IMO, as well as the Bemis filter did, although I do not have the equipment to measure evaporation rates. I would definitely recommend this filter to anyone who is looking to save a little money over the Bemis OEM filter (which is now Essick Air). It is recommended that the filter be changed annually, so I would think that as long as the wick is moving water up into the airstream, one wouldn't need to purchase the most expensive wick out there. This wick also has MicroFree antimicrobial treatment. The Bemis and Essick Air wicks do not state such on their packaging.

I have had this humidifier for many years and it decided to stop working, so I purchased a new one. These are good wicks because they really filter and you will NOT get white film on your furniture and stereo equipment like other filters. It lasts long and I only use 2 per season. Good value. I will buy again next season.

Essick MoistAir Humidifier Filters Including 4 Filters

The filters that arrive are MoistAIR HDC411 filters. What wasn't included in the description was the size of each individual filter. They are each 11 x 2 3/8 x 6 1/4. I'm using them in an MoistAIR Emerson HD12110, and they seemed a little shorter (on the 11 inch length dimension)than the original filter. The only other difference is that the original filters had 4 beads of plastic/urethane adhesive, and these only have three. They seem to work fine, though, and what I'm amazed at is how much better these work than the dirty filters. I'm putting much more water in the air at low speed immediately after replacing the filters. I cleaned the original ones out each year, but after several years of use, they needed replacement. Overall, these seem great, and replacement should really be an annual event, especially in areas with hard water.

Hard to find the exact replacement filters, but these were good ones. Decent price as well, and prompt delivery. Appreciated when heating season sneaks up.

Sears makes a product and just a number of years out abandons supporting it pretty much. The way it goes. Spent awhile trying to figure out what alternatives were out there. These filters are a good functioning replacement for the shoddy ones that Sears now sell (14912)that get pretty poor reviews. They are only meant to last a year and they do. An excellent value with Prime shipping here at Amazon. Recommend.

This is a hit or miss product. It's great if you can get filters that haven't been destroyed during shipping. I had to order twice from different vendors as one sent the filters in an un-usable state. They tear apart very easily.

Due to space issues in my tiny house, the only place to put my desktop computer is in my bedroom, so I was looking for something that would offset the positive ions from my 'puter. I ordered this negative ion generator from Amazon and have used it for a few weeks. When the room has been shut up for awhile and I enter it, the air does smell better. Other than that, I can't detect any difference. For a real improvement, I suppose I'll have to order one of the serious (and seriously expensive) air purifiers. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

I was very excited to use our new diffuser as we already had an assortment of essential oils.. the first day it worked like it was suppposed to, filling the house with wonderful aromas of citrus and herbs, it was very nice! Then it suddenly stopped working. I cleaned it out with alcohol and added fresh water and a few drops of oil again..it worked perfectly....then it stopped after a few minutes. Repeated this process a few more times and finally gave up. Find a different diffuser, this one is junk!

This unit is well made. A true German ingenuity. I love the fact that I don't have to deal with filters. No filters means I don't have to make a trip and pay for filters, I don't have to change them and I don't have to worry that if I forget to change the filter in a timely fashion, the unit will not work effectively. I just fill it with water and don't even have to worry about the water levels. If I forget to refill it, it'll shut down on its own. It is simply perfect!

I did not buy mine at Amazon, but I wanted everyone to know
