BestAir H85-6 Holmes HWF-62 Replacement Wick Filter

BestAir H85-6 Holmes HWF-62 Replacement Wick FilterThis filter was supposed to be like a "HEPA" filter for a cool mist humidifier. Despite sanitizing my entire humidifier before using this filter, the filter molded over with fuzzy green and black mold within 6 weeks. The regular filter that came with my humidifier was made to last 8 weeks, and it never molded.

This is not as advertised.

However, I do like the metal mesh instead of a plastic mesh, because it's easier for me to recycle, now that I've had to throw out the filter.

I will not buy this again.

not sure if it will rust but it doesn't look like the original one that came with the Holmes humidifier. would not buy again

Bionaire 900 Replacement Humidifier Wick Filters (2 pack)

Bionaire 900 Replacement Humidifier Wick FiltersThis filter is still a good buy if you have one of these console humidifiers. The graphic is wrong. However, if you tossed the plastic frames out, I found a source called Appliance Factory Parts, part PCC0060.

You can then use this frame with these filters.

Not what I thought I was getting. The add picture is incorrect and misleading. I wanted the frame as I threw out the old one. I would have ordered a different wick from a different company, there were some just like this that were cheaper.

I ordered what my humidifier stated I needed to replace the filter,

but what I recieved was not the right filter.

The advertising for this product is misleading. It shows both the wick and the plastic rack it goes into. The racks are not included in this product.

If you have a Bionaire console humidifier, you need these wicks, which should be replaced roughly every two months.

But as much as I enjoy using Amazon (been a Prime member for years), this is not the product to purchase from Amazon. Call Bionaire directly. Instead of complaining about getting a non-Bionaire replacement, you'll get the genuine product, often for less. As I write this, they are having a 40% off sale on filters -filters

Bryant / Carrier Humidifier Water Panel 318518-762 (with Distributor Tray)

Bryant / Carrier Humidifier Water Panel 318518-762I was able to get a pair of filters for less than the repair shop wanted for just one. Great deal. They fit perfectly, and are the exact same thing that the shop wanted a lot more for.

Great deal.

These things are just tooooooo darned expensive. I don't understand why this item costs so much. If I didn't absolutely need them I'd never order them. Needed is probably why. Can't run the humidifier without them.

They fit and do the job. Quality of materials seems good. Price is better than from my dealer. What more can I say.

Other than the Carrier part number difference, so I had to verify the dimensions, works like a charm. Piece price is better though you have to buy two. Got them on time...no complaints.

After moving in to our home, I noticed that the humidifier that is connected to our furnace required this water panel. This item is identical to the old water panel that I removed from the humidifier. I couldn't believe that I found it at Amazon. Wow.

Xikar Humidor Solution Propylene Glycol Pre Mixed 8 Ounces

Xikar Humidor Solution Propylene Glycol Pre Mixed 8 OuncesRefilling my drymistat tube with this solution keeps my 15ct herf-a-dor around 70% humidity. So far I am satisfied with the solution and would recommend it to my friends, and glad it shipped out fast and arrived undamaged

I have used this solution in my humidor for several years now. It works just like it says. I haven't had any issues with it holding the appropriate humidity and I also haven't had any of the leakage problems that previous reviewers wrote about. I think that if you use it correctly and keep the bottle upright that you won't have any issues. I have a large humidor that holds quite a few cigars and it hasn't affected the taste of the cigars. They still taste great and I will continue using this solution because it has worked great so far.

It is a great product. But the bottling is poor. The product leaked from the lid.

Honeywell H12012 Replacement Filter for Dirt Devil F16

Honeywell H12012 Replacement Filter for Dirt Devil F16I bought this filter and it did not fit properly AT ALL! The plastic piece that went over it kept on falling into the container while vacuuming. It made it very difficult to put the canister back in place as well. It caused the vacuum to lose suction which made the hose constantly clog forcing me to take the whole hosing off to unclog it each time. At first I thought it was the vacuum itself that was the problem but after buying a dirt devil produced filter it worked like new again. I would not recommend this product.

buying another one, last one I bought was a perfect replacement. I don't understand some of the other reviews, apparently they either ordered the wrong part for the vac that they own or got an incorrect part and should have returned it. It fit just fine into the canister on the vac, you have to know how it fits and put it on correctly. If you know what you are doing, you should have no problems

This didn't fit at all. I couldn't even force it to sort of fit. It simply would not go on the vacuum. Unfortunately, I bought it as a future replacement so I only found out that it didn't fit well after the return date had passed. It ended up in the trash.

I replaced the stock paper and foam filter in my Red Devil vacuum with this product, but it seems that it is TOO restrictive to the airflow. The vacuum does a very poor job at picking up since replacing the filter, and I feel the brushes shooting particles back at my feet and ankles rather than getting sucked up by the vacuum. There seems to be far more dust on the Honeywell foam filter than with the original, which would be great if it didn't result in far fewer big particles and objects from being picked up.

Nothing like the pic.Only came in a plastic bag,no foam filter. But still better than paying the $15 walmart wanted. No point in paying to much for replacement parts as I only paid $54 for the vac 8 yrs ago.

Sunpentown SD-652 86-Watt Mini Dehumidifier

Sunpentown SD-652 86-Watt Mini DehumidifierI almost didn't buy this unit because of the mixed reviews, but I took a chance and I'm glad I did. Bottom line, it works spectacularly well if used for an enclosed space where the air isn't being circulated/exchanged. I have it in a guest-cabin behind my house which sits vacant 90% of the time. It extracted about 1 cup of water in 24 hours of summer weather. Over a period of a week or so, I expect it will remove most humidity as long as the cabin stays sealed. There are 2 keys to this unit working effectively: (1) It works slowly, so expecting it to dehumidify your bathroom right after your shower is preposterous. (2) It's not going to work if the air you're trying to dehumidify is being circulated. In other words, if it's a room you're constantly going in and out of, or a room connected to your central A/C unit, forget it. You'll need a big, mechanical dehumidifier. But for spaces where the air isn't being circulated/exchanged, it will eventually extract most of the moisture and keep it dry. A perfect example would be a motor-home. My only (minor) complaints are that optional drain hose is only about 4' long (so I replaced it with a 1/2" x 6' hose from HomeDepot for 3 bucks.) And the power converter gets very hot, so I hooked it to a lamp timer and have it running 2-hours-on then 1-hour-off all day (thus a total of 16 hours a day). Hopefully this will keep it from getting seriously hot. Bottom line--perfect for enclosed spaces but wouldn't recommend for areas where air is being circulated or exchanged.

By way of background, I have been dealing with temp and humidity control devices for many years. Two reasons -one, I am a lifelong asthma sufferer, and I have expensive wooden musical instruments that require constant care. I have owned many humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air cleaners and measuring devices (eg, hygrometers). I am not a technical expert on the science behind these things (although I do not think it is all that complicated). I am, however, a fairly experienced consumer of them.

I was perplexed at the dearth of real reviews of these Supentown dehumidifiers. I figured for the price I would find out for myself.

I put the thing in a room that is 15 by 10, in a basement, in Westchester County, NY. This is my home office. Due to landscape etc, we get a fair amount of humidity. No actual water in the basement, but it is often above 60% rh. In an adjacent basement room, separated by a 10 inch concrete wall, I have a large, high-end dehumidifier. During the first 24 hours after I set this thing up, the big humidifier sucked more than 2 gallons out of the air, in a comparable sized space. This thing...less a 1/4 cup. The rh in the room went from 62%...to 62%. Did not budge.

At the same time, the thing makes a ridiculous amount of noise. It is made of cheap, light plastic, and the fan is very loud and sounds...well, like a cheap fan in cheap, light plastic. By contrast, in the same room I have a Winix model 5300 air filter. This is a good quality unit. The little Supentown dehumidifier is several times as loud as the Winix on its standard setting. Really, it's much louder than it's functionality should warrant. Not that much quieter than a standard dehumidifier with a compressor (one that actually works).

1/4 cup of water in 24 hours from a 62% space, and it was actually raining outside during this time.

This is the first time in many years on amazon that I actually sent a product back solely because of it being a cheap piece of junk. Usually, I suck it up, throw it away, sell it on eBay or whatever. This one annoyed me so much, I sent it back. Don't waste your time and money. Go with a real dehumidifier.

This little dehumidifier, about the size of a boot-sized shoe box on end, performs well. Although essentially all plastic, it is still sturdy. It is ideal for small spaces; I have a 6'x'10x8'h brick structure that is up against a hillside, so quite a bit of moisture comes through two walls even though they are moisture blocked. This unit extracts about 1/2 cup of water per day when the space is closed. This is just enough to satisfy my needs and prevent deterioration of contents. It wouldn't draw enough for a larger area. It would be very good for walk-in closets, even larger than my space, since they would generally have less moisture than I have. I don't believe there would be sufficient benefit for use in a living area since the unit would be overwhelmed by ventilation, having such a little volume capability. This would also be ideal for enclosed spaces in coastal areas.

UPDATE: THE UNIT QUIT WORKING AFTER ABOUT TWO YEARS. DID A GREAT JOB BUT I EXPECTED IT TO LAST A LOT LONGER. OTHER REVIEWERS HAVE SAID THE SAME THING. I REPLACED IT WITH AN EVA-DRY, WHICH IS ABOUT THE SAME DIMENSIONS AND SPECS OUT SIMILARLY, BUT IT REOMVES ONLY ABOUT HALF AS MUCH WATER.

This device works well... That is, it works well if you are in a room that is very warm (summer heat). It doesn't work in the winter, it doesn't work fast, it doesn't do the trick in a bathroom.

To balance my review, I can honestly say that the device is small and quiet. It DOES work, so keep it in mind for an office space and use in the summer, when you need to knock the edge off of the background humidity in a room where additional moisture is not being actively generated.

The product it self was great. It took a little long to get to us and had a crack in the water tank, but it doesn't leak. It has really helped to make a difference in our basement.
