Cigar Caddy Crystal Gel Humidification Jar,2 Oz

I live in dry-as-a-bone Colorado, so I need to keep a lot of moisture in my humidor. I use two of these in a 50 cigar box and they keep it steady at 70% for about 2 weeks before they need a refill. I'm happy with that!

This item is nice for desktop humidors because you don't have to add the distilled water / alcohol mix to the conventional ones. You just take the cap off, drop it in there and add water once the beads get below the line. Too easy. The problem I have had with them is that if you live in a dry climate they will only bring humidity levels to about 40%. I would recommend going with two of them instead of just one.

This product is just OK. As you look at the many ways to keep cigars fresh and moist, this is probably the cheapest. Works great with a small collection in a humidor of a capacity of 20 or less. I tried this and it has not let me down, I feel that traditional humidifying systems work best. If you are in a hurry and need a cheap way of humidification then this is a good buy for that situation.

So I'm a casual cigar smoker, and only more recently got a cigar humidor of my own. This little jar really does make a difference, and moved my humidor from being around 60 to now the recommended 75. As the beads dry out, just add more water...just make sure not to overfill it as I did, as the beads will grow too large and pop the top off. I'm very pleased with the results!

I was super excited to try this product because our city has very hard water and I wanted to stop having white dust all over everything in our bedroom be the result of using our vaporizer but unfortunately this did not fix the problem. No point spending so much on this product since that's the only thing I wanted from it.

In an effort to get rid of some of the white dust associated with my ultrasonic humidifier, I followed the instructions and began adding the appropriate amount of this to my water. I'd argue that it actually made the white dust problem worse, but I couldn't prove that. I can however say it made no improvements whatsoever.

Very few places carry the water treatment in a size and application strength for a home one or two gallon vaporiser. The usual offering was for a 20 gallon barrel, to be diluted one gallon for 70 gallons of solution, or some equally obscure home use. The Amazon seller not only had the product I needed, in a size I needed, but the price was low enough to make me feel I was really getting a good value!

I use my vaporiser 'round the clock. By using just 2 capfuls of the water treatment in each filling, I extended my cleaning time from every 3 or 4 days, to 15-16 days; then it is much easier to clean. Love the stuff!

I often have "white dust" from my humidifier so I purchased this hoping it would eliminate/reduce the amount of dust from my humidifier. I didn't really notice a difference after using this 3-4 times in my humidifier.

A filter isn't a complicated endeavor, so it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. That's why I like these. I bought a size too big accidentally, but cut it down to about half and its works just fine.

Honeywell H14008 Replacement Filter for Eureka DCF- 3 Filter

The main body of this filter is about 1/16-1/8" taller than the original, as is the loop/handle on the top. All of this makes it difficult to screw the lid back on the canister. I thought I'd have to return the filter, but figured out that if you rotate the filter, you'll eventually find a 'sweet spot' that will let you slide the lid back into place (though it's still a difficult to close).

I have to say I'm surprised by the ill-fit. I'm fairly certain that my last filter was also a Honeywell replacement (but one purchased at Target), and it fit just like the original Eureka filter. Perhaps the manufacturing process isn't precise... In any case, I would look for a different replacement.
