318518-761 BDP Humidifier Replacement Evaporator Pad

318518-761 BDP Humidifier Replacement Evaporator PadThis is a good buy. Buying a filter by using its part number is considerably cheaper than looking for your filter by googling your humidfyer model. Strange but true.

Bionaire® Digital Cool Mist Humidifier with Permanent Filter Programmable Digital Humidistat, 24-h

Bionaire® Digital Cool Mist Humidifier with Permanent Filter Programmable Digital Humidistat, 24-hour Run Time, & 16 Hour TimerI replaced my Graco programmable humidifier with this model based on some word of mouth reviews. I will say this, the machine looks pretty sleek, a lot better than the big white Graco. Unfortunately, looks is all that this thing has going for it.

The humidity control is a wheel that only lets you set in 10 degree increments, and then only from 30% to 60%. There is no display showing what the current humidity is, so you don't really know how well it is working. The permanent filter is the same as the disposable filter used by every other humidifier, only it is in a plastic case and can be washed. The tank opening is small, which makes filling from a gallon jug of distilled water (best way to preserve the filter) a bit challenging.

But all of that can be tolerated, except for the fact that the machine simply didn't produce enough humidity. I let it run nearly continuously for a week and it never hit the 40% level that I had set to trigger a shut off. It didn't use nearly as much water as I would have thought given how long it was in operation. Finally, after a week, I used a hygrometer to test the actual humidity in the room...26%. 26% after a week of running? Nothing appears to be mechanically wrong with the machine. The fan works, the filter in the proper place, etc. It just simply doesn't have the output I would expect from a machine at this price.

It looks cool, but I will go back to the ugly Graco and a comfortable bedroom at between 40% and 50% humidity.

I have had this device for over a year and it has worked well. Cleaning the filter is not as easy as they say. I don't see the device working much longer mainly because of filter buildup. Lime away does not even get this thing clean.

I bought two of these from Costco and have been extremely happy with them. I get shocked badly all winter, but these little jewels eliminated that problem. Also, the relatively smaller water tank makes them very user friendly for older, less agile people. I bought a larger one for a small lady friend of mine and she was having a terrible time carrying the larger water tank to the unit. I gave her one of these and it fit the bill perfectly. This is simple to use and reduces the electric bill because when air is more moist it feels warmer than it actually is. I have one in my bedroom that I run all night so that I don't have those problematic dry sinus problems that accompany winter heat in the house. I also have one in the kitchen (the other end of the house from the bedroom), so that eliminates the shock factor in that end of the house. Great little product at an affordable price.

It's too bad there is no replacement filter for it to buy. Bionaire says it's permanent, cleanable filter but after 2 months of use there is lime buildup and practically impossible to clean the filter.

Without clean filter and no where to buy replacement filter, it's simply useless now.

Small PermaWick Filter

Small PermaWick FilterThis was a perfect fit for the old one. Filter says "permanent" but its only permanent until it turns dark with age or mold. Had no success cleaning the old one, it just started disintegrating around the edges. So I bought a new permanent filter to replace the old permanent filter.

No thought was given to the packaging of this item. The filters were shipped in a tall bubble brown envelop. The filters were consequently, bent and squished at corners. when placed in the humidifier, there was ample room at the corners for water to gather. Poor packaging made this product quality less to be desired.

I need this type of filter for my hunter humidifier. The filters were very easy to replace. If the humidifier last long enough, I will be buying replacements again next year.

The filter performance is great. I have used this product since October. Did not know whether I could find one to fit in my humidifier, was happy to find it worked.

Honeywell HC26A 1008 Humidifier Pad - 2 pack

Honeywell HC26A 1008 Humidifier Pad - 2 packI had my service technician replace my filter pad last year and watched how it did it. Then I saw what it cost me to have him do it. This product is perfect. It is the actual Honeywell filter pad and has the complete instructions on how to change the filter. It was easy to do and will be even easier the next time now that I have done it once. And, much less costly than paying someone else to do it.

The right replacement filter element at a decent price with fast delivery. That's all an internet shopper can want! I recommend this purchase to other Honeywell humidifier owners.

Bought these from a supplier that did not explain in advance that the filter is covered in a white clay which lead to some unpleasant back and forth charges of selling used merchandise. The filter works great and helps keeps our home toasty by keeping humidity levels up during the winter.

I ordered the size filter my humidifier said to order...it arrived too high...we just cut off two inches...good price...don't know what the problem was....I think manufacturer had wrong size on my unit...speedy delivery!

Kids Line Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

Kids Line Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier, MonkeyCheck the water tank size on the description and compare b4 u buy. I didn't expect it to be this small. Even the cord is extra short; about 3 feet. I think you'll be disappointed if you live in a dry climate and plan to use this a lot. Water level indicator is also a tiny window and hard to see.

The picture is misleading and obviously photo-manipulated because it shows the 3 mists all going up. Real product has one nozzle pointing up and back, and two on the sides pointing parallel to the floor. So if you have anything directly adjacent to it, it will become soaked.

I also have the Crane "Drop"-shape humidifier; much bigger tank and cute for kid's room as well.

This was not a good product. It leaked all over. The water leaked out of the side and eventually flooded the stand we placed it on. Tried a few different places to place it and still had the same problem. Looks better than it works.

We just received this today (12/03/2011) as a Baby Registry gift from our friends. This cool mist humidifier is very cute and it's made with very good material, we just love it. Here's how we got it to work, super easy. My wife just opened the package, filled up the water tank, put it back, plugged in the power, and turned it on, that's it. The cool mist then just started to come out on top of the monkey's head and both of his ears.

I was a little worry about this Kids Line Humidifier before because I read reviews from another web site stating that this model leaks water, but there is no water leaking at all, it works perfectly and safely. I bought a Crane Humidifier a month ago, and we had to return it because it didn't work. The major differences between the Kids Line Humidifier and Crane Humidifier is that the way the water tank is designed. After we filled water inside the tank, we have to turn the water tank upside down in order to put it back. Here lies the huge problem with the Crane models, the water from inside would come pouring out onto the bottom part of the humidifier, which wets everything under it. The Kids Line Humidifier doesn't have this problem, the water tank doesn't leak water when it's turned upside down.

I was hesitant initially to purchase this item based on the mixed reviews but after buying it I'm so happy I did. I love this humidifier! I've used it daily since 12/1/12. Some highlights:

PRO's

1. It fits the jungle theme perfectly in my newborn's bedroom and the humidifier works great. So far I've only used this in my living room which is approximately 500 600 sq ft. It gets refilled 2-3 x's to keep my humidity between 35% 40% ( 20% without use) will vary depending on room size and desired humidity level.

2. No filters! I have hard water so I have followed the instructions to soak in vinegar (left for 1 hr instead of 20 min bc I got sidetracked). Only soaking 1x per week rather than daily; haven't noticed any effect. Note: I considered using bleach but would imagine this would deteriorate the water seal. Just follow the provided instructions to use vinegar!! See note for product in Con #1 if you're concerned with bacteria.

3. The 360 degree mist. Comes out of each ear and the top of the monkey's head. Have not had leaks like other reviewers -I have had it sitting on a cheap, 12-in round pan just to ensure no damage to the wood stand it was on.

CON's:

1) Can't reach inside of water tub to scrub out. I would use my Holmes Humidifier Bacteriostat solution but I don't think it's necessary since the water doesn't sit for an extended period.

2) Manual functions no digital display or timer. NOT a big deal. I decided to buy the Acu-Rite Home Comfort Monitor from Amazon and love it! Monitors the humidity level accurately and saved me money not having to spend more for a built in humidistat.

One additional note: My allergist informed me that dust mites cannot survive above 40% humidity (I am highly allergic). Keep this in mind when humidifying the intended space for your child. My humidistat ensures that I stay within a comfortable 30-40% level.

The con's had no impact for me, therefore, I gave this adorable monkey a 5 star review. If anything changes, I will come back to provide an update.

I love this humidifier. First off, it's super cute it my son's nautical nursery. Second, I love that there is no filters for this. I've been using a Vick's humidifer that works great however, the filters make it expensive. We now use this in our room which we don't use every night like we do for my son. The humidifier needs to be cleaned monthly or every other month (we prefer monthly but could go longer). The only downside is that you have to fill the water often. We only run ours at night but by morning it's empty however, you can definetly tell that its doing its job as opposed to our Vick's. Our Vick's one lasts through the night and a little longer but I am not sure it works as hard as this one. I am very pleased with it and does its job for our purpose. If you want a humidifier that lasts for more extended period of time than this isn't your humidifier.

Honeywell HC12A1015 Whole House Humidifier Pad

Honeywell HC12A1015 Whole House Humidifier PadThis item may not be the genuine Honeywell replacement pad, because the package does not contain the two replacement clips which hold the drum assembly together. These clips are not stainless steel, and rust away. They should be replaced annually. Search Amazon, or Google, Honeywell's part number 32000146-001 for sources of this replacement pad which includes the steel clips. These unique clips are not available separately ANYWHERE, even from Honeywell.

The humidifier that matches these pads is not what I would buy now that I know more about humidifiers. This one is a little hard to work with and the parts rust out; however, I cant knock these pads. They are straightforward to install and work as advertised for little expense.

Hunter 31960 Demineralization Tablet for 31004 Humidifier

Hunter 31960 Demineralization Tablet for 31004 HumidifierI purchased these because they were advertised to reduce the white dust that's endemic to ultrasonic humidifiers. After a couple weeks of use, the dust was in fact made worse. Furthermore, it caused the vapor to actually hang in the air so that there was a slight haze in the room. I suspect the tablets are mostly salt as used in any water softener, but there is no ingredient list on the packaging or anywhere else I could find on the internet. I suspect the tablets are only good for preventing the white minerals that builds up on surfaces INSIDE the humidifier (this happens with any humidifier type). It does nothing for the minerals that are vaporized and put into the air that later settle down all over one's furniture. Perhaps their performance is related to water hardness--but mine is not particularly hard. Exceptionally disappointing-I'm still looking for a solution.

I have a The Sharper Image EV-HD10 Cool Mist Ultrasonic 1-Gallon Humidifier with Clean Mist Technology and this tablet really only lasts for one gallon. I haven't been totally convinced that it helped with white dust but it seems to have helped kill any musty bacterial growth, which is good enough for me.

It might prolong the life of the humidifier or decrease smells and mineral buildup, but it does not eliminate white dust. Don't buy it if your goal is to do that.

Buy Hunter 31960 Demineralization Tablet for 31004 Humidifier Now

The demineralization tablets packaging states it "eliminates white dust" amongst other claims. They not only fail to eliminate the white dust, using them in my humidifier created even more white dust. I emailed the Hunter company and explained my dissatisfaction with their product and the only response from Hunter was that "the tablets were not tested or approved for humidifiers of any other manufacturer" than Hunter. I responded back to Hunter and advised them that their packaging does not indicate they may not work in other brand humidifiers.

Therefore, if you own an ultrasonic humidifier that is not Hunter's brand, my advise would be to not waste your money on these tablets.

I bought these tablets because we had been seeing some white dust on furniture and such, when using a cool mist humidifier.

After filling the tank and placing one tablet in the tank, I noticed that it dissolved in minutes not a week. I was careful to place in the tank AFTER it was done filling with water. So then after doing this and letting the unit run, we noticed a haze in the house. Not just some white dust but our house filled with a white haze. The white residue from these tablets is a whole lot worse than the white dust that comes without using these.

They were expensive considering they lasted for only 1 tankful of water. And the dust they created will be forever to get rid of.

Don't make the same mistake I just made......use distilled water or something else not these tablets.

Want Hunter 31960 Demineralization Tablet for 31004 Humidifier Discount?

I put in 3 of these tablets into my ultrasonic humidifier. I thought this would allow me to use regular water instead of distilled. Wrong. The tablets had ZERO effect. White dust everywhere. Complete waste of money. There ought to be a law against selling completely useless products.
