Honeywell 32005847-001 Installation Kit, Bypass

Honeywell 32005847-001 Installation Kit, BypassI purchased this to go along with my whole house humidifier cause Honeywell doesn't give you all the stuff you need with the humidifier. However, read up on what is included and what is not. I bought a seperate humidistat because I thought I needed one but there is actually one in the humidifier package. Most modern furnaces don't need the separate transformer and sail switch that come in this kit. You can find the schematics online for your furnace if you don't have the manual it came with to wire to the 24v output on the control board in the furnace unit and not have to use the sail switch and 24v transformer. Hence, I'd recommend buying the water tubes and ducting at a hardware store. I would imagine that if I'd thought ahead far enough I could have found the 5" duct and hoses for around $20 or less and saved myself some money. My mistake is your lesson here I guess.

Bought this to go with the 220a humidifier per suggestions of other users. Was about to watch the included video (a DVD is shown on the outer box) to get started, and opened the box to find a VHS tape. Not sure how many people still have a working VHS machine in 2012, but I don't. Upon further inspection, there is no sail switch in the install box either.

Now I have to go through the hassle of finding a VHS machine or wait for a DVD if the manufacturer can send one.

Kind of concerns me about how old these parts may be in this box. Ugh in deed.

I may update this once I get to see the video and figure out how to do the install, but this is a major disappointment in Honeywell.

Update: I just talked to Honeywell, and somehow they're blaming Amazon, saying someone must have opened the box. Seriously?!? How or why would Amazon have Honeywell labeled VHS tapes to sneak into sealed (only one piece of tape closing the box, shows no signs of being resealed) factory package? A big "WOW" comes to mind, and the rating just went to 1 star.

Update 2 (1/25/12): After returning this and buying another kit locally (same part number, slightly different on-box pictures), I gave up on this unit as a whole. Honeywell, even though it lists as included, no longer includes the sail switch to control the unit. At least this one didn't have a VHS tape in it-it had NO install video at all! It's 'sold separately' according to their (apparently overseas) support tech. "Everything you need" apparently doesn't mean parts for a successful install, it means to provide instant frustration. Very disappointing, Honeywell. Thank goodness for Amazon's easy return procedures.

Only half of the stuff that was included in the Kit is needed.

You would be better off th=o buy these items separately.

This a required kit to install the whole house humidifier. The video is great and gives valuable tips not in the written instructions which are good but assume a lot of knowledge.

I wasn't sure whether this would be needed. After installing my humidifier, my answer is YES!

I think this package is totally worth the price and makes the installation so much easier.

FRED Humidifier - White

FRED Humidifier - Whitevery simple steam humidifier. You should be aware of the types of humidifier and not be suprised at the hot steam and potential of accidental burns. If you have small child, you should not own this.

Pros:

Steam= no white dusts, no filters to change, bacterias are "boiled" off.

Stylish= no toy looking controls, no clear blue medical looking canisters

auto shut off when water is depleted

cons:

All plastic material shell(including the feet): now, I'm not sure if the outshell being metal is a good thing. It can potentially be a metal toaster oven if its made out of metal. Plastic does have a certain smell.. if you ever used a plastic electric water boiler, it smells just like that.

Designed in Swiss but made in China: don't be fooled by the swiss style design, this baby is geniue made in china.

The plastic chute is extremely hot, you can't touch that thing while the steamer is operating. Have to be careful.

Price: You are paying for the style, not functionality.

conclusion: only good if you want a steamer type humidifier and are turned off by cheap looking Vicks style steamer.

I don't write reviews often, but am really upset that I wasted so much money on this humidifier. My husband got this for me because I have frequent nose bleeds from the dry air. We used it for one week and was pleased with it because it was so quiet. I didn't like the hassle of having to take it apart daily to refill the water, but put up with it because it was cute. On the eighth day, I tried to turn it on but it wouldn't work. At all. The little blue light didn't even turn on. I took it apart and found a bunch of calcified deposits. The company states that it wasn't covered under the warranty because the instructions state that it should be "cleaned often." We had only used it for one week. Only buy this product if you are willing to take it apart and clean it almost daily (waste of time) because this poorly constructed piece of equipment is otherwise a huge waste of money. On a side note, we bought another product from them, the Max space heater. Although it still works, it doesn't work very well unless you're sitting about a foot away from it. We got another space heater that was about the same price and works infinitely better. I'm through with their products.

I bought this humidifier several years ago mainly because it was the only humidifier I ran across that didn't look like some big, plastic, medical equipment. It has work really well. The design is great! Super easy to fill and clean without a ton of parts. While it doesn't recede completely, it is at least whimsical and fun and like all Swizz designs, elegant and clean.

If you are looking for a relatively basic but very stylish humidifier, Fred is the perfect choice. Fred is warm air humidifier with a few basic buttons which glow a futuristic blue at night. Most humidifies in this price range have more functions and larger water tanks, but look designed for a drab hospital. Although made of plastic, Fred feels very sturdy and solid. As far as humidifiers go, it looks cool. You won't need to hide it.The only complaint is the water container only last for 4 hours on high and 8 hours on low.

I wanted this humidifier forever and was so excited when it arrived!

Very first night i used it the lid filled up with condensation then poured out the bottom onto my dresser. Took it apart, dried it out and planned to try one more time with a towel under it. No go, its completely dead & wont even power on.

Its very cute, but not even as functional as a vase because it leaks. For what it costs thats completely unnaceptable.

Bionaire BUL7933 Ultrasonic Tower Humidifier

Bionaire BUL7933 Ultrasonic Tower HumidifierWonderful so far, this little humidifier really puts out the humidity for a large bedroom--and that's on the lower setting! One filling on low can last you two nights. No filters, so like other ultrasonics, it may put out some white dust. Regardless, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I'm breathing so much easier, and there's not a lot of upkeep required. Highly recommended.

1. Because the humidity is not distributed upwards, but at an angle instead, it sprays the raised silver top of the tank with moisture which then needs to be cleaned up. Might as well be leaking from the tank, what a pain.

2. This unit also has an inaccurate humidity sensor. Because it humidifies the air directly around the unit, a room with 30% humidity is suddenly detected as 60% humidity after the unit runs for a short time, causing the unit to prematurely switch off. You'll have to override this by setting it at "always on", but the sensor still displays the inaccurate reading which is therefore a reminder every time you look at the unit of how it's not functioning as designed.

3. Because the tank is so opaque from dark tint, it's very hard to see the water level and how much is left.

4. The tank doesn't hold as much water as other units on the market, and the handle placement makes it awkward to hold while filling.

I previously owned the Holmes ultrasonic model, which was a great unit except that it was a pain to clean. I figured this Bionaire unit, which was $20 more and looked cool, would be easier to clean. After opening it up, it looked more difficult to clean. Returning this to Target and going with the Holmes.

I have two of these and they are terrific! No filters which means less maintenance and no additional expense. Have owned several Bonaire humidifiers in the past, this is by far the best! Efficient , had its own humidistat, quiet and attractive. The only reason I had to replace one ,was because it became a victim of hurricane sandy.

It is quiet running, you can adjust the moisture. Runs a good 24 hours on second cycle before I have to refill.

At the end of the season I just dry out throughly and put a little vaseline around the opening before storage.

We have had a number of humidifiers in our home to try and combat the dry air. We live in Wisconsin so the air gets pretty dry in the winter from the furnace running all of the time. After some bad luck with units purchases at the local hardware store, I decided to buy one online.

After reading some of the other reviews, I was a little hesitant to purchase this unit (in regards to leaking and humidifier monitor issues). However, after we got this unit and started using it, we absolutely LOVE it! We have not experienced any of the issues that the other reviews mentioned. The humidity monitor works great, and is a very nice feature. Although we have a ceiling fan running all the time so that probably helps circulate the humidity around the room. Our last unit actually did leak right out of the box, but this one is perfectly clean.

The digital screen is a very nice feature. The buttons are intuitive and I was able to figure out all of the controls within a few seconds. Many of the humidifiers available look somewhat "medical", which is not appealing when it's going to be sitting in my living room. This thing is even more stylish than it looks in the picture. It even has button to turn the digital screen off, in case you have it in your bedroom and don't want the extra light.

The spout works great, and the water compartment is easily removed for fillup. It's very quiet, so won't keep you awake at night either.

If there was a negative, it might be that the water output is not that high, but I don't think ultrasonic units have as much output as heating units. Everything else has far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it.

Hunter Savoy 20516 52-Inch 5-Blade Ceiling Fan, White with White/Light Oak Blades

Hunter Savoy 20516 52-Inch 5-Blade Ceiling Fan, White with White/Light Oak Blades
  • Desinger white finish with reversible White/Light Oak blades
  • Energy Star qualified for greater energy efficiency
  • WhisperWind motor handles large rooms with greater efficiency and less noise
  • Three position mounting for flush, straight down or angled installation
  • Designed for large rooms up to 400 square feet

There is not much more to say about this fan beyond what I have indicated in the title of this review. Perhaps, however, a bit of elaboration is in order.

A comprehensive and easy to follow manual made the installation of this fan a breeze! The apartment in which we installed the fan was already wired for just such a device, so that was not a concern for us and I cannot address that issue except to say that the aforementioned manual does cover the topic of finding and preparing the right space for your fan. With a space already prepared for ours, it took us just under two hours to complete the actual assembly including wiring and installation.

The fan, with three speed settings and reversible air flow, has kept us cool through the torrid Florida summer and remains quiet as a whisper as it delivers its soothing zephyrs.

The blades are reversible, offering a choice of basic white or faux oak.

No light fixtures here if that's what you're looking for. Just an efficient fan that has proved, for this user at least, a quality product.

I purchased this fan about 3 or 4 years ago and I have only good things to say about it. I specially ordered it from Home Depot and I've been totally pleased with it. It is very quiet unlike many other fans I've seen around. One thing I can say about the Hunter fans family is that they are definitly quality fans. My mom only buys hunter and when she found out I was in the market she insisted I look at only the Hunter fans. I don't always do as mother says but this time I did and am glad I got an excellent fan with not problems at all. I would give 10 stars if theywent that far. I also like the idea that we have never had to balance the blades and no a bit of wobbling from the fan itself.

I have alway been very pleased with the quietness of the hunter fan. And this is just another hunter fan that I am very pleased with. I purchased the correct switch that goes with this particular model. Very pleased with the combination.

I have 8 of these Savoy fans. The last one purchased is different than the others most recently purchased in 2006. I have never had issues with the older ones. This one has not been quiet. I made a warranty claim and got another. The one sent to me as a replacement made more noise than the original. There is a distinct hum every revolution. They tried to blame it on the wall control unit since it was not a Hunter. I then went out and bought a Hunter control and it made no difference. they then said I probably damaged the unit by using the non Hunter control unit. Unbelievable! When I compared the older units to the new one it is apparent that they are using a smaller winding in the stator. I'm sure some engineer said they could get away with it and save some money. I will not be buying any more Hunter fans.

Hunter 20511 Savoy 52-Inch 5-Blade Ceiling Fan, Antique Pewter with Black/Cherry Blades

This product should be marketed as a KIT. Its innumerable parts required a couple of hours of assembly, and the mounting screws provided were too short.

It functions well, and eventually we may forget how long it took to get the fan in place, but don't figure on taking it out of the box, putting on the blades, and installing it. It isn't rocket science, but you'll gain some experience you may not have anticipated.

Arms Reach Co-Sleeper® brand Mini Co-Sleeper® Bassinet - Natural

Arms Reach Co-SleeperĀ® brand Mini Co-SleeperĀ® Bassinet - NaturalI purchased this co-sleeper after having my baby in bed with us for two months. Its great for parents who want their babies in their room with them, but rather not have them actually in the bed. I can lay right next to my baby, safely and comfortably and be able to easily reach in to rub or pat his back when he stirs during the night and needs some comforting. I prefer it over a pack n' play because you can secure it to the bed, the one side goes down so its easier to reach in, and its much smaller than a standard size pack n' play. I tried having the bassinet up against the bed in the same manner and it wasn't working out for me so I purchased this co-sleeper. Our bedroom is on the small side and if I had to use something the size of a pack n' play it would have never worked.

Sorry to see some people arguing over the reviews for this product. I think that its the same with anything, different people have different opinions. Whether or not you enjoy this product will be based on the what you expect from the product and your individual needs. I personally don't need to get out of bed to feed my baby with this co-sleeper as some of the other mothers have indicated, but I could see why some other parents would need to. I didn't purchase the product because I thought it would help me from having to get out of bed. I purchased it because I want my baby next to me at night without having him in my bed, and I want to be able to easily reach in and help sooth him if he needs some comforting during the night. Therefore, depending on your needs you may love this product or you may be disappointed.

I only have a few warnings with the Mini Co-sleeper. It is much harder to fold up than one would hope. I have to flip it upside down to get the bottom bars to fold completely. It is also very hard for me to put the one side up and down, my husband and I have both struggled to do it. The last of my complaints are the sheets. I've found cradle size sheets are the closest. You can order the right ones from Arm's Reach if you want to pay 15 dollars each plus shipping.

On a more positive note, the storage space at the bottom is a plus, baby can use it for longer than a small bassinett and nothing beats the convenience of having your baby close to your bed but not in your bed at first.

We had already debated the co-sleeper versus play yard decision & chose a play yard, reasoning that we would use it longer & that it wouldn't be that big a deal to hop out of bed a few steps to grab the baby. Then I had a c-section & my husband ran out to get the co-sleeper after all. We got the mini because I just didn't want to have to crawl all the way to the foot of my bed to get up like I would have to with the full size.

I was just sure this would make night time breastfeeding much easier. (You know: grab the baby, latch her on & lay back & get a few more winks while she nurses.) If you haven't yet had your baby & you share this fantasy: get over it. You won't be laying down to nurse with a brand new baby. And if your baby is like mine (90% on the growth charts) she likely may have out-grown the mini by the time she can nurse successfully laying down.

But I still give this 5 stars because it made life so much easier. We chose to have our baby sleep in our room until 3 months. All those crazy sounds that you're not used to coming over a baby monitor from another room, mean you really won't get any sleep because you'll be trudging up & down the hall all night long, and not just for feedings. Likewise, a crib or play yard (even in the same room) has the problem that you'll be getting up dozens of times a night to check on her. But with the co-sleeper, I just had to turn my head & see that she was fine. It's a lot easier to get back to sleep if you haven't had to get out of bed.

We weren't prepared to commit long-term to co-sleeping or "the family bed." I always knew we would move her to her own room at some point. (It turned out to be 3 months, instead of the 2 I'd originally planned.) As a new, first time parent, I know I got a lot more sleep than I would have with any other set up. (And sleep is soooo precious in those first weeks!) By the time we were ready to move her to her own room, the mini was getting pretty tight, but it was just the right size for our needs & for the period of time we needed it. We didn't need the ability to use it as a play yard later, like the full size can, because we already own a Graco play yard. But, honestly, we've never even used it.

If you are planning to have your baby sleep in your room for 2 to 6 months, the mini co-sleeper will be perfect.

Read Best Reviews of Arms Reach Co-Sleeper® brand Mini Co-Sleeper® Bassinet - Natural Here

We purchased the Mini Co-Sleeper instead of a bassinet or a cradle because we liked the idea of having our baby right up against the bed.

The sleeper is very sturdy. It has 2 wheels and 2 stationary legs, so it can be mobile when needed, but stationary when baby is in it. It also has a strap that fits underneath your mattress and attaches on the other side, which would secure the sleeper to the bed. We didn't actually use this feature because I wanted to be able to move the sleeper to get in and out of bed without crawling over my husband.

One side can fold down or up depending on whether you want to use the sleeper as a free standing unit or attached to the bed. There is also a storage compartment that is great for storing extra sheets.

My favorite thing about the Mini co-sleeper is the peace of mind it gave me. As a first time mom, I was a little nervous at first. Always wanted to check on the baby to make sure he was ok, hadn't rolled over, etc. This way I could check on him without waking him or my husband.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cost of extra sheets. Mini Co-Sleeper makes their own extra sheets (one comes with the sleeper but you'll need to buy extras). The special sheets have velcro on the bottom that stick to the bottom of the sleeper to keep it secure in place. The sheets are nice, but they're like $12 14 each which is ridiculous. And they're hard to find (not carried through Amazon). The salesman at the store told me that regular cradle sheets will fit fine. We use the Koala Baby sheets and they are a little big but they do work ok. We put a waterproof mattress pad down and the sheet on top and that seems to give the mattress a little extra cushion. Again, not perfect, but it's still ok.

Overall, I really feel like we made a good choice in getting a co-sleeper over a bassinet or cradle. My son is now 4 months old and has moved into a crib, but we will definitely be saving this for our next child.

Want Arms Reach Co-Sleeper® brand Mini Co-Sleeper® Bassinet - Natural Discount?

We love our mini co-sleeper. It has been great both attached to the bed, and used separately. It is small enough to fit in our tiny 1 bedroom New York apartment. I have a bassinet as well, and much prefer the mini co-sleeper. The manufacturer states that this can be used as a changing table as well, but I would recommend another product if that is what you're buying it for. The mattress area cannot be raised or lowered, and it is far to low to be used as a changing table. In addition, the fabric cannot be removed from the frame making washing very difficult. Despite this I still really like this product and highly recommend it.
