Diamond Crown Large Humidifier (For 100-200 cigars humidors)

Diamond Crown Large HumidifierMy husband has had a humidor for years. Since before I met him even. I have watched him strugle at times to keep the humidity right, especially when we are gone for a couple of weeks each year. Last year, for Christmas, I bought him a Diamond Crown humidor. Let me tell you, it is beautiful, and it is all quality. It came with this system in it already. Wow, it is nice. Steve seasoned it, and within two days, it was running perfectly. So, he is really happy. The water capicity of this thing, is awesome. He checks it occasionally, and is always smiling when he opens it. Now, when we go on vacation, the water level is less of a concern. BTW, the old humi was very high quality, not some piece of crap, but the green foam system just wasn't great for holding enough water. Steve doesn't like usiong the gell beads, because that is just chemicals, and that is why he smokes cigars instead of cigarettes....less chemicals!

Crystal 50 Humidifier

Crystal 50 HumidifierWorks ok I find I am filling it every three weeks & not the couple months it advertise although I have tried other ones & they do not work well.

I use this puck as a adjustment to large humidors. my primary source of humidity is nano beads, and I have one of these gel puck in each box as well. they work for about a year and occasionally discolor, but for 8 bucks & free freight they're not bad. I've found that they need to be recharged ever 3-4 weeks.

Does a great job of keeping the humidity level in my humidor. Doesnt need the special recharging liquid. I use distilled water.

The humidifier has a magnet installed underneath, and includes a circular metal plate with a sticky pad. This allows you to install the humidifier in the lid of your humidor but still easily remove it for refilling.

In my moderate sized humidor (described as 25-40 cigar capacity) this humidifier balanced out at 62% humidity after 48 hours, using distilled water and a digital thermometer/hygrometer. Going on 10 days now and I can clearly see the crystals starting to dry out and separate again. I estimate I will need to fill it again at the 2 week mark as noted in the instructions.

Overall much better than the stock sponge humidifier, well worth the cost.

I had the sponge type and it worked until it started leaking. I was at 72% most of the time according to my Caliber 3 digital hygrometer. I bought this to replace it. Doesn't keep it even above 60%. So I guess these are hit and miss. I even sponged it down one more time after this didn't work, still doesn't work properly. Also this product is not a Madelaine product it is made by IQ which is the same brand as the one that started leaking.

Suncourt DB6GTP Inductor Inline Duct Fan

Suncourt DB6GTP Inductor Inline Duct FanI had already purchased two suncort inline fans to help in the cold air return in my cape code style home and they are doing a good job so I am adding two more fans to help with getting the air up to the upper level. They are working good.

Used this fan for a unique vent solution. I have a small bathroom that couldn't accept a conventional bath fan due to problems with the ceiling. The total duct run is 35' to the outside wall, semi-straight run w/ insulated 6" flex duct. The fan is 25' from the outside wall and 10' from the bathroom located near the attic access in case it should ever need maintenance. It is unbelievably quiet. Without putting your hand up to the vent and feeling the airflow you wouldn't even know it is running. It does make a little noise which would undoubtedly be amplified through hard ducts. It pulls the perfect amount of air for a small bathroom but any bigger than say an 8 X 10 room and you need a bigger fan.

I had to push air from bathroom over 30' due to construction constraints. This in line fan did the job perfectly. Bathroom fan switch turns on both fans simultaneously..
