The cool mist humidifier has two levels of output and the aroma oil compartment works well. I make sure the cap is off when not in use or I turn it off and empty the water compartment when done. The only complaint I have is cleaning the water compartment: I follow the instructions but black spots have appeared inside at the bottom of the water compartment and they do not come out following the instructions; it is very difficult to clean no matter how inventive you get with brushes. Otherwise this is a great product.

Update: I did not have any further problems with black spots wonder if somehow the original purchase may have been a return that had been used and not completely dried out. Anyway, I purchased another one, so now have two and have absolutely no problems with either since the initial cleaning of the first one. Oh, btw, baking soda is a great way to clean mold and does not have the effects of bleach.

Even though I didn't buy this product from amazon, I wanted to write a review because I was so impressed with this product.

I rinsed it, put 3 drops of lavender oil that came with it in the sponge compartment, filled it & plugged it in.

Instantly my room felt like a spa. Calming lavender aroma with soothing lights that change color & a nice mist. U can use it only as a humidifier, night light, or both. I have owned 4 other humidifiers & this is by far my fave. I did a lot of research before I ordered it & highly recommend. It's also attractive and compact. Fits anywhere. if u are a natural, "green" person like me & like fragrances but not all the chemicals that come with them, & like to use a humidifier, then this machine is for you! You won't be sorry. I am in love.

Works really well, I recommend it for night-use only since the tank only lasts about 9-10 hours in high setting, 11-12 hours in low. It is powerful that it quickly raises humidity in an average 12ftx12ft room to 50% rH in about 2-3 hours. The cleaning routine is a lot easier, about once every 2-3 weeks if you let the unit dry out upside down on a towel after use each morning. Otherwise, if you keep it loaded with water you need the regular cleaning routine with vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide once a week. Yes, cleaning is not easy, but I have yet to find a unit as nice that is also easy to clean. You will not get white dust and make cleaning a lot easier if you do not use regular tap water. I have used this water treatment with good results BestAir 3US-6 Ultratreat Ultrasonic/Vaporizer Water Treatment 32 oz. . For even easier cleaning use RO or distilled water.

This is perfect for your table top next to your bed. Very quiet and easy to maintain. Price is reasonable too. Sinuses feel so much better so sleep is so comfortable.

Out of the box, the humidifier was what I expected. I admit that I should have done more research other than reading the reviews on Amazon, but I have had good luck trusting the reviews when purchasing other items. The unit worked fine for 7 nights until last night when it would not turn on. Despite trying a different electrical outlet, removing the water tank and replacing it, etc., it has never worked again. I followed the instructions and emptied/dried the unit daily didn't matter. I am going to contact customer service at Tribest and will update this review.

Summer Infant 3 Pack Cotton Knit Swaddleme

My husband and I love this product. Our little guy has been very active since day one! Even in the hospital, while recovering from a c-section, he was un-swaddling himself in the regular receiving blankets. At first we just figured that it wasn't a big deal; until he would wake himself up constantly doing the "startle reflex" or wiggling. So... at 3 days old we used the one I received as a gift at my shower. This blanket helped him to stay cozy and swaddled tightly during naps and night time sleep. We bought two Swaddlemes and I tried one on little one before washing it. It was great and the fabric was a light enough weight for Texas summers. However, I washed them as the instructions stated and since they are 100% cotton, they still shrunk!! My baby didn't even get to use them once! It says to wash them in cold water and dry with low heat. I suggest washing them like they said, cold water but dry with no heat or air dry.

My wife is an ER peds nurse and when she was pregnant, during her shower she got a pack of these. She looked at me and said "These are dumb, I know how to swaddle!". Well, the first night home, we used one of these, let's just say 4 weeks later we've NEVER swaddled our little one in a blanket. We even purchased more of these as well as a set for gifts.

I think the best part of these are the at the 2am and 4am changes/feedings, you don't have to fight with a blanket, just slid them in the sack and velcro the thing closed, can be done in under 15 seconds and it won't come undone, regardless how much the little one moves.

The fleece ones are really nice and warm and go good with normal cotton sleepers. We bought the cotton ones for when we put him in a fleece sleeper. This way the little one won't get too hot either way, yet is still swaddled.

We didn't have any issues with shrinking.

I bought these because my squirmy son could bust out of any swaddling blanket in seconds. There's no squirming out of these! We use them every time the baby goes down to sleep at night and for most of his daytime naps as well. He gets much better rest when we swaddle him with these than if we don't. They keep him from startling himself and they calm him down. Putting him in his Swaddleme is part of our nighttime ritual. I turn off the lights and put the white noise on, then get him swaddled, then hold him, shushing and patting his back until he is almost asleep. Then I put him in his crib, still awake, and he calms himself off to sleep within 5-10 minutes. We would be lost without these. I just bought a package of the larger size. We will swaddle until he outgrows the Swaddleme!

Optimus U-31001 1.5-Gallon Cool Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier

While this humidifier doesn't have all the bells and whistles, it works excellent and delivers the right amount of moisture into the air. What I also like about it is that there are no weekly filters to use(wick), plus the added expenses of purchasing wicks.

Its easy to use, it holds enough water that I only have to fill it every other night, and it works very well. The blue ring around the adjustment knob lights up bright blue but it can be turned off for those who do not like night lights. Operation is pretty quiet.

The drawbacks:

water flows out of the bottom of the reservoir into the base were the magic happens. This means that the base of the reservoir will be wet when you remove it to refill and things around the humidifier may get a little wet.

The part where the moisture comes from isn't secured to the top of the humidifier so when you remove the reservoir to refill and flip it upside down (you fill from the bottom), this part will probably fall off a few times before you remember to take it off and set it aside.

even considering those two things, its worth the money.

Not too big and not too small. It'll last about 2 -3 nights, ie does not require a refill every night (phew) and not too heavy to carry like bigger models (double phew). Plus, there's no nasty paper filter that gets instantly moldy.

I live in a dry climate and in the cold months with the heater running, we buy bedside humidifiers for the whole family to keep from drying out and catching colds. Of all the humidifiers we've tried, this one is far and away the best. It has a ceramic filter which does not need replacement but keeps the unit from getting as dirty as quickly as other humidifiers. The control knob gives you a lot of control, ranging from a barely noticeable stream of mist to a thick fog pouring out the top. It's very nearly silent, so light sleepers shouldn't worry. Other reasons I love it: large water tank so you won't run out over night, a directional spout at the top to point the mist where you want it and a little brush beneath the tank for cleaning. I can't think of anything I'd change about this unit. I'm surprised I've never heard of Optimus before.

I purchased this as a replacement wick to a new heater, purchased at the begining of this winter season. The wick stopped working very quickly and just seemed like a poor wick. I followed the book direction for replacement and this wick has burned evenly and put out good heat. Seems like this wick will last a lot longer than the original.

THF13 Lasko Humidifier Wick Filter (2 Pack)

I received these filters they shipped it very fast. They failed to make sure they shipped the correct size filters. The filters I received will not fit into the lasko thf humidifier. The filters are too long, too wide, way too thick. I cant even slide the back on of the humidifier.

I have not been able to find filters for my humidifier in the stores and found these and they are perfect. This is my second time ordering them. They last a long time. I have even washed them a few times and reused them. I would definitely recommend these filters. Make sure you check the model number on your humidifier and match it with the filter you need. Hunter Fan Company 31011 Personal Ultrasonic Humidifier

I bought this for my bedroom. It has been going for 2 months, all night. No mess like the large humidifiers. Just use a plastic water bottle or empty soda bottle that has been rinsed out. Wish I had it last year when I had the flu. But now it helps with the dry sinus and dry skin. I just use tap water and no clogging yet. My water is pretty clear of minerals, but it comes with some tablets just in case. I would think it would be easy to travel with. Some of my coworkers suffer when they come to Colorado with the dry climate.

I have two young children and this product works great to help with colds and congestion...I use it all the time.
